Ready To Embrace Every Terrain.
Before heading out for a run or walk please satisfy yourself of your fitness, if in doubt of your fitness please consult a health professional before any activity.
As this is self-propelled make sure you have everything you need for your time out on the trail such as appropriate footwear, clothing, hydration, snacks and a phone as minimum to get you around. Consider waterproofs when its wet and sun protection when its warm – on a clear day the downs are exposed and offer little shade.
Please watch your step and be mindful conditions under foot vary, particular with changes in weather.
Naturally please respect the land much of which is working farmland by keeping to the trails, paying attention to notices, leaving no trace - do not litter; respect other land users, animals and fauna and always close gates behind you.
If you’re out with your bestie Woofy pal please make sure they are always under control as a considerable amount of the land is working farm and there will likely be sheep, cows or even ponies around.
And most importantly… Enjoy!
The route follows right of way paths and well-trodden trails through accessible land please see below further details. Starting at the bottom of Chapel Hill, you will head up to Saxon Down then onto Mount Caburn before returning via Oxteddle Bottom and back down Chapel Hill, finishing at the War Memorial at the top of the High Street.
